The Beacon Hub
High Street, Portishead.
To have a base (and a bass!) within The Beacon Hub means more to me than I can tell you.
It is such a welcoming, beautiful and accessible space, but the thing I appreciate the most about The Beacon Hub is the people I have met there.
Community and inclusion are at the heart of what they do. I am so grateful to be able to offer music sessions from within their space and hope you will join me there soon.
Adults, teens, anyone with a disability (hidden or otherwise), people experiencing loneliness, living with chronic pain and other needs. Whether you prefer your music sessions to be gentle and therapeutic or much more energetic, on your own or with some friends, there are sessions to suit you. Just ask 🙂
My accessible community music sessions operate on a Pay-What-You-Choose basis. Nobody will be excluded from the opportunity to play based on their ability to pay.
It is important to me that you join in with making music when you want, not just when you can. My standard fee for 30min of individual music tuition is £16.00
It is important to me that you pay what you think is fair to yourself, your family, and the group. If you pay less than you would like to, or don’t pay anything, what you still bring is you, which is what we all want.
If you pay more, either regularly or as a one-off, you help the group keep going, not just for those who can pay less, but for all of us, whether we’re in good times or bad.
I prefer to take payment on the day, before the session starts. I have a card machine which accepts most debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. I will also have a QR code on display which you can scan with your phone. It will take you directly to my “Pay-What-You-Choose” page on PayPal where you can type in the amount that suits you.
I prefer not to accept cash, but don’t let that put you off – just try to bring exact change please 🙂
