PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

Now Hear This Music C.I.C. is a community music project founded and delivered by musician Laura Porter. The project’s aims are to provide practical music opportunities, with meaningful levels of inclusion, to communities in Portishead, and more widely into North Somerset. Activities are delivered to people of all ages in a wide variety of settings, including privately hired venues, schools, public buildings, outdoor settings, and private residences.

By engaging Now Hear This Music C.I.C. you agree and understand:

·        All instruments, accessories, and other equipment provided must be treated with care and respect.

·        Sessions are participant led, with active participation, in the context of individuals’ own needs, expected from everyone in the room.

·        Every person in the room brings equal value to the shared experience and can expect their voice and needs to be heard with all others.

·        Supported, looked after, and otherwise vulnerable people should attend with their care giver, who will remain in the room throughout the session.

·        Care givers should engage actively with all aspects of the session to maximise the impact of our work.

·        Regular attendance and clear communication are expected of everyone attending. 48-hours’ notice is required for non-attendance at any reserved session(s).

·         Now Hear This Music C.I.C. does not provide music therapy. Should it become clear at any time that therapy or counselling services might be helpful to a participant, the participant and/or primary caregiver will be signposted to appropriate services.

o   GRANT SUPPORTED SESSIONS

Commitment is essential to ensuring fair and appropriate use of public funds.

Should two reserved grant-supported sessions be missed without adequate notice, sessions will cease, and funding will be re-allocated.
